Dell Rapids PBR fell to the Renner Monarchs 8-1 on Sunday, July 6th, in Renner. PBR jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning after three singles in the inning, capped off by an RBI single by Kevin Krull. Renner answered with five runs in the first two innings on seven hits. The Monarchs added three more runs on a three-run home run by Jason Nyhouse.
Dale Solberg took the loss, pitching five innings giving up eight runs on 11 hits, three walks, two hit batters, and six strikeouts. Dallas Schneiderman earned the win throwing six innings giving up one run on five hits, one walk, one hit batter, and struck out eight. Matt Wilbur pitched the final three innings allowing no runs on no hits and one walk.
PBR drops to 9-13 on the year and will play Harrisburg on Tuesday, July 8th.
