The Dell Rapids Quarriers girls basketball team overcame a slow start against the Tea Titans on Friday, December 14th, on their way to a 58-38 win.  The Quarriers didn’t score until about midway through the first quarter, as the Titans started the game on a 12-0 run.  Dell Rapids would close out the first quarter on a 12-1 run to close the gap 13-12 at the end of the first quarter.  The Dell Rapids offense kept rolling as they took a 25-22 lead into halftime.  The Quarriers played an excellent second half, as the offense put up 33 points while holding the Titans to just 16 for the 20-point win.

Karen Eddy and Mikaela Stofferahn each had 13 points in the game to lead the Quarriers.  Eddy was 6-8 from the free throw line, and Stofferahn was 8-9 from the free thrown line.  Julia Rice added eight points, while Brittany Kludt had seven points.

The Quarriers improve to 1-1 on the year, and will play Deubrook at the Entringer Classic in Flandreau on Saturday, December 15th.
