The Dell Rapids Quarrier and Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal cheer teams competed at the 2017 South Dakota State A Competitive Cheer competition on Friday, October 20th, at Rapid City Stevens High School.
The Quarriers placed 3rd with a total of 225.5 points. The Cardinals placed 4th with a 
total of 218.0 points. Sioux Valley won the title with 261.0 points. Dakota Valley just edged Dell Rapids for 2nd place with 228.5 points. Arlington/Lake Preston finished 5th followed by Platte-Geddes.
