The Dell Rapids Quarrier wrestling team placed 11th out of 19 teams at the Madison Tournament on Saturday, December 16th. Dell Rapids finished with 68.5 points. Rapid City Stevens won the tournament with 246.0 points. Harrisburg was second with 198.0 points, and Sturgis Brown was third with 157.0 points.
The Quarriers had four wrestlers that placed in the tournament.
- Jacob Vogel finished 2-2 in the 106 bracket.
- Canyon Lowman finished 2-2 in the 113 bracket.
- Zach McKee finished 2-3 in the 120 bracket and placed 6th.
- Trevon Cross finished 4-1 in the 126 bracket and placed 3rd.
- Max Lamer finished 1-2 in the 132 bracket.
- Brayden Gee finished 1-2 in the 138 bracket.
- Gage Carr finished 0-2 in the 152 bracket.
- Mitchell Klinkenborg finished 1-2 in the 182 bracket.
- Lincoln Richeal finished 1-2 in the 195 bracket.
- Ben Cavigielli finished 3-3 in the 220 bracket and placed 6th.
- Nick Palmer finished 3-3 in the 285 bracket and placed 6th.
Dell Rapids will not wrestle again until Saturday, January 6th at the Garretson Tournament in Brandon.
