The Dell Rapids Quarrier wrestling team finished sixth at the Tri-Valley tournament on Saturday, January 13th. Dell Rapids finished with 136.0 points. Winner finished first with 224.5 points. Elk Point-Jefferson was second with 161.0 points, and Lennox finished third with 159.0 points.
The Quarriers had seven wrestlers that placed in the tournament. Ben Cavigielli finished first in the 220-weight class. Jacob Vogel, Canyon Lowman and Nick Palmer all had second place finishes. Gage Carr placed third, Trevon Cross finished fourth, and Trystan Stahl had a sixth place finish.
Dell Rapids will host a Dak-12 meet on Tuesday, January 16th. It will be parent’s night during the event. The match can be seen on Big Sioux Media.
