The Dell Rapids Quarrier girls won their third straight game on Monday, January 11th, at Dell Rapids High School. The Quarriers defeated the Lennox Orioles 58-45. Dell Rapids led at every quarter break in the game.
The Quarriers held a slight two-point lead at the end of the first quarter at 14-12. The lead for Dell Rapids grew to six points by halftime at 29-23. Dell Rapids opened up the third quarter on a 6-0 run and led by 12 points early in the third quarter. The Orioles would get the lead into single digits a couple of times in the quarter, but Dell Rapids ended the third quarter ahead by 13 at 46-33. Each team scored 12 points in the final quarter.
Three players scored in double figures for Dell Rapids. Mikaela Stofferahn had 17 points. Emma Paul finished with 13 points, and Averi Pankonen added 10 points. Jordan Kruse led Lennox with 16 points.
Dell Rapids (6-3) will face Andes Central/Dakota Christian at the Hanson Classic in Mitchell at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16th.
