The Dell Rapids Quarrier girls ended their three-game skid with a Dak-12 Conference win over the Vermillion Tanagers 54-44 on Thursday, January 28th, in Vermillion. Dell Rapids held just a one-point lead at 19-18 halftime. The Quarriers extended their lead to six at 31-25 by the end of the third quarter.
Arial Hoffman and Mikaela Stofferahn led the Quarrier’s second half surge. Stofferahn scored eight of her 16 points in the third quarter, while Hoffman scored 11 of her 18 points in the fourth quarter. Emma Paul and Kaylee Hennen both finished with six points. Dell Rapids had a total of 39 team rebounds.
The Quarriers (8-6) will play the Tri-Valley Mustangs at the Dak-12 Conference Classic on Saturday, January 30th, held at Dakota Valley High School at 1:30 p.m.
