The Dell Rapids Quarrier competitive cheer team hosted five other teams on Tuesday, September 4th at the Dell Rapids Invite. Dell Rapids St Mary, Platte-Geddes, Redfield-Doland, Dakota Valley, Sioux Valley, along with Dell Rapids, all competed in the event.
Sioux Valley took the top spot with a team score of 162.5. Dakota Valley placed second with a score of 138.5. Dell Rapids was third with a score of 138.25. Dell Rapids St Mary placed fourth with a score of 133. Redfield-Doland took home fifth place, and Platte-Geddes finished sixth. 
Prior to the start of the event, the seniors for the Dell Rapids Quarriers were recognized. Those seniors are Taylor Reit and Jenae Schoeberl.
Dell Rapids will make the trip north to Redfield for the Pheasant Invite on Tuesday, September 11th for their next competition. The Cardinals will perform next on Saturday, September 15th at the Brookings Spirit Invitational.
