Mustang Girls Return Solid Core

November 29, 2021 by Matt Larson, Big Sioux Media

The Tri-Valley Mustangs finished last season with a 13-10 record falling in the SoDak 16 to the Winner Warriors.  The Mustangs advanced to the SoDak 16 after upsetting West Central in the Region 3A tournament.

The Mustangs return four players from last year’s team.  Two of those players were starters.  Tri-Valley will look to senior Paige Jewett and junior Steph Buchman as well as sophomores Lauren Grinde and Hillary Hastings.

“There are six other girls that will be competing for playing time on the varsity.  If we can play together as a team, we will have a chance to be successful,” said head coach Dan Jewett.

The 2021-2022 season begins on Friday, December 10th at home against Garretson.
