Colman-Egan Takes Match over De Smet

After starting the season with two straight wins, the De Smet Bulldog volleyball team has now lost two matches in a row.  De Smet lost to the Colman-Egan Hawks on Thursday, September 1st.

The Hawks won in straight sets.  Colman-Egan took the first set by a score of 25-13.  They followed that with a 25-17 win in the second set.  The Hawks won the final set by a score a score of 25-13.

Jada Burke finished with six kills, seven digs, two blocks, and one ace.  Hazel Luethmers also had six kills and six blocks.  Cori Birkel had 16 blocks, Mirra Beck had nine blocks, and Olivia Johnson had seven blocks.  Megan Dylla had a team-high eight set assists.  Emma Albrecht had five set assists, three blocks, and two digs.  Jacie McCune had six digs, and Ella Poppinga and Alyssa Asleson each had four digs.
