Warbirds Stop Small Bulldog Winning Streak

After winning their first two matches of the season, the De Smet Bulldogs ran into a tough Wolsey-Wessington Warbird team on Tuesday, August 30th.  The Warbirds earned a straight set home win by scores of 25-18, 25-6, and 25-15.

Jada Burke led the team in kills with six.  Cori Birkel had three kills, and Olivia Johnson had one.  Emma Albrecht had five set assists, and Megan Dylla added three.  Albrecht also had a team-high two ace serves.  Dylla, Ella Poppinga, and Allyssa Asleson each had two digs.  Birkel finished with six blocks, while Johnson and Mirra Beck each had three blocks.

The Bulldogs will travel to Colman to play the Colman-Egan Hawks on Thursday, September 1st.
