The De Smet Bulldog girls basketball team hosted the Arlington Cardinals on Thursday, January 5th. The Cardinals got a big win by a score of 65-23.
Arlington took an eight-point lead into the start of the second quarter, 13-5. The Cardinal offense then scored 27 points in the second quarter for a 40-15 lead at halftime. De Smet was only able to score two points in the third quarter and trailed 54-17 going into the fourth quarter.
Hazel Luethmers had 10 points and six rebounds. Mirra Beck had three points, two rebounds, and three assists. Alyssa Asleson also had three points. Brooke Jennings finished with two points, five rebounds, and two steals. Charli McCune and Audi Currier both had two points each.
