De Smet Girls Cruise Past Cyclones

The De Smet Bulldog girls basketball ended a two-game losing streak with a 61-44 win over the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones on Tuesday, January 2nd in Willow Lake.

The Bulldogs built a 15-6 lead by the end of the first quarter.  The lead grew to 14-points in the second quarter, and De Smet led 33-19 at halftime.  The offense continued to play well in the third quarter.  De Smet extended their lead to 49-28 going into the fourth quarter.

Three players finished in double figures on the night.  Hazel Luethmers had 27 points, 11 rebounds, four steals, and two assists.  Alyssa Asleson had 17 points, three rebounds, and three assists.  Megan Dylla added 12 points.
