The De Smet Bulldog volleyball team evened their season record to 7-7 with a road win at James Valley Christian on Tuesday, September 24th. The Bulldogs won in straight sets by scores of 25-4, 25-8, and 25-14.
De Smet cruised through the first set. They started with an 11-0 run and kept rolling from there. The lead grew to 20-2 before winning the opening set 25-4. The Vikings scored the first point of the second set, but De Smet went on a 7-1 run for a 7-2 lead. They continued to build on the lead to 22-7 before winning 25-8. The third set started with a 4-4 tie. De Smet went ahead 8-5 and maintained their three-point lead at 12-9. The lead grew to 15-11, and then the Bulldogs finished the match on a 10-3 run for the 25-14 win.
