The De Smet Bulldog volleyball team had their season come to an end at the Region 2B Tournament on Tuesday, November 1st. The Bulldogs traveled to Castlewood to face the Warriors.
After a 3-3 tie to start the first set, Castlewood went on an 8-1 run for an 11-4 lead. The Bulldogs pulled with four, 11-7, after a 4-0 run of their own. De Smet, however, only scored six more points in the set as Castlewood won the set 25-13. The Warriors raced out to an 13-1 run to start the second set. Castlewood cruised to a 25-11 win in the second set. The Warriors built another big lead to start the third set, 10-3. They maintained a 10-point lead most of the set and won 25-12 to win the match.
The Bulldogs season ended with an overall record of 10-18.
