Records were set for the St Mary Cardinal track team at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays held in Sioux Falls on Friday, May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd.
The boys 4x100m relay team of Thomas LaVoy, Lincoln LeBrun, Jake Heinitz, and Logan Bauer set a school record and recorded the first ever Dakota Relays relay win for St Mary’s with a time of :44.18. The boys sprint medley relay team of LaVoy, LeBrun, Bauer, and Jacob Flemmer finished third with a time of 3:41.46 and set a school record. The 4x400m relay team of LaVoy, Flemmer, Heinitz, and Bauer took seventh in 3:35.28 and also set a school record. The 4x800m relay team of Jaxon Baumberger, Cooper Libis, Matt Heinemann, and Kade Lutt placed eighth with a time of 8:52.23.
Maddyn LeBrun placed seventh in the javelin with a throw of 121’1″ and finished eighth in the discus with a throw of 124’5″.
