The St Mary’s Cardinal track teams made the short trip to Baltic for the Baltic Invitational on Tuesday, May 5th. The boys team finished second with 121 points. The girls team took third with 94 points. Another school record was also set at the meet.
Maddyn LeBrun won the discus, setting a school and meet record, with a throw of 126’4″. LeBrun also won the javelin with a throw of 117’2″ and finished third in the shot put at 35’7.5″. Madalyn LeVoy took the top spot in the triple jump with a leap of 32’8″. Kate Liebl was second in the discus at 104’7″ and third in the javelin with a throw of 97’4.5″. Regan Griffin placed third in the triple jump with a jump of 30’10.5″. Lucy Vargas finished third in the 3200m run with a time of 14:07.93.
Logan Bauer won the 100m dash in a time of :11.07 and won the 200m dash in :22.51. Jaxon Baumberger won the high jump with a jump of 6’0″. Matt Heinemann finished second in the 3200m run with a time of 12:07.59. Gavin Pica was second in the discus with a throw of 145’1″. Isaac Griffin placed third in the long jump with a leap of 18’2.5″. Alex Lindeman was third in the discus at 134’8.5″. The 4x400m relay team of Baumberger, Jacob Flemmer, Pano Skliris, and Theo Miller finished third in a time of 3:44.76.
