Both the Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal girls and boys track teams placed sixth at the Baltic Invitational on Tuesday, May 2nd. The boys team had 72 points, and the girls team had 65 points. Two school records were also broken during the meet.
Elizabeth Vogel won the 3200m run. Jaycee Tebay took second in the discus. Lucy Vargas placed third in the 3200m run. Maya Heinitz was fourth in the 400m dash. The 4x100m relay team of Heinitz, Ella Griffin, Addison Libis, andd Madala Hanson was fourth. The 4x200m relay team of Heinitz, Griffin, Libis, and Hanson took fourth. The 4x400m relay team of Heinitz, Josie Baumberger, Libis, and Hanson also placed fourth. Libis placed fifth in the 300m hurdles.
Lucas Flemmer won the 200m dash and broke the school record with a time of :20.00. Flemmer also placed first in the 100m dash. Lindeman took third in the discus and third in the javelin. Lindeman also broke the school record in the javelin with a throw of 120’6″. Nic Gaspar finished second in the high jump and triple jump. The sprint medley relay team of Lincoln LeBrun, Gabriel Lindeman, Flemmer, and Gaspar was second. Jaxon Baumberger was fourth in the high jump. Camden Tebay was fifth in the 3200m run.
