The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal girls and boys track teams traveled to Salem for the Gene Danielsen Relays on Tuesday, April 25th. The girls team finished eighth with a team score of 31. The boys team placed ninth with a score of 38th. Jaycee Tebay broke her own school record in the javelin with a fourth-place throw of 86’10”.
Lucy Vargas won the 3200m run. Cami Wolles placed third in the 1600m run. The 4x200m relay team of Maya Heinitz, Ella Griffin, Madala Hanson, and Addison Libis placed fourth. The 4x400m relay team of Heinitz, Griffin, Hanson, and Libis had a fifth place finish. Tebay also had a fifth place finish in the discus.
Lucas Flemmer took the top spot in the 100m dash, 200m dash, and 400m dash. Gabe Lindeman finished fourth in the discus. Nic Gaspar had a fifth place finish in the 400m dash.
