The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal track teams had many place well at the Beresford/Alcester-Hudson meet on Monday, April 17th. Lucas Flemmer also broke two more records at the meet.
Madala Hanson won the 400m dash, finished fifth in the 100m dash, and sixth in the long jump. Addison Libis was second in the 300m hurdles. Ella Griffin took third in the javelin and fifth in the discus. The 4x200m relay team of Hanson, Maya Heinitz, Libis, and Brianna Griffin placed third. Cami Wolles finished sixth in the 1600m run. B. Griffin finished seventh in the 200m dash, and Heinitz placed eighth in the 800m run.
Flemmer broke two more school records during the day. He placed first in the 200m dash. Flemmer broke his own 100m dash school record while finishing first. He then also broke the 33-year-old 400m dash record with a first place finish in :50.65. Nic Gaspar placed second in the high jump, and eighth in the 400m dash. Gabe Lindeman was fifth in the shot put, sixth in the javelin, seventh in the 200m dash, and seventh in the discus.
