The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinals evened their record with a road win against the Centerville Tornadoes by a score of 59-44 on Tuesday, February 7th. Four players scored in double figures for the Cardinals in the win.
St Mary trailed by a point at the end of the first quarter at 13-12, but the Cardinals outscores Centerville 36-19 in the next two quarters. St Mary led 29-22 at halftime, and then pushed their lead to 48-32 at the end of the third quarter.
The Cardinals shot 33% (21-64) from the field, 19% (5-26) from three-point area, and 57% (12-21) from the free-throw line. St Mary also had a total of 43 team rebounds, 14 assists, and 17 steals.
Zach Geraets had 14 points and seven rebounds to lead the Cardinals. Garret Frost had 11 points, four rebound, and two assists. Connor Libis had 11 points and two assists. Weston Geraets finished with 10 points, four rebounds, and four steals.
St Mary (8-8) travel to Elkton to play the Elkton-Lake Benton Elks on Thursday, February 9th.
