Both Trojan Track Teams Place 2nd at Region 3A Meet

Both the girls and boys West Central Trojan track teams placed second at the Region 3A meet in Lennox on Thursday, May 19th.  The girls team finished with 147 points.  The boys team finished with 118 points.

Sadie Berg came home the region champion in the 200m dash.  Lily Sidel won the long jump.  Molli Thornton placed first in the triple jump.  The 4x100m and 4x200m relay teams of Sidel, Berg, Thornton, and Emma Goehring both placed first.  Sidel also placed second in the 100m dash, and Thornton was second in the 200m dash.  Cambell Fischer had a second place finish in the shot put.  The 4x400m relay team of Alexa Borns, Berg, Baylee Poss, and Tessa VanOverbeke was second.  The 4x800m relay team of Cambree Ideker, Jazelle Jarding, Clara Nelson, and Poss also finished second.

Layton Johnson won the 200m dash for the boys.  Jude Jarding was first in the 400m dash.  The 4x400m relay team of Wyatt Nielsen, Carter, Schmeichel, Jarding, and Johnson were region champions.  Benjamin Strunk had a second place finish in the 1600m run.  The 4x200m relay team of Schmeichel, Mason Berens, Nielsen, and Johnson had a second place finish.  The 4x800m relay team of Dylan Stromer, Patrick Hammond, Strunk, and Jarding also placed second.
