The Beresford Watchdogs (6-5) won their second straight home game 50-41 over the Irene/Wakonda Eagles on Tuesday, January 24th.
The Watchdogs were able to hold the lead at the end of every quarter. Beresford led 14-9 at the end of the first quarter and then 26-18 at halftime. The Eagles cut into the lead in the third quarter, but the Watchdogs still led 36-31 going into the fourth quarter. Beresford then outscored the Eagles 14-10 in the final quarter.
Ella Merriman had 20 points, three steals, and two rebounds. Savanna Beesen finished with 13 points and three rebounds. Lily Sievert added 10 points and the three rebounds.
