Watchdog Boys Cruise Past Parker

The Beresford Watchdogs outscored Parker 30-17 in the middle quarters on their way to a 74-51 win over the Pheasants in Parker on Friday, December 30th.

The Watchdog defense forced 18 Parker turnovers in the first two quarters of play.  Beresford led 23-14 at the end of the first quarter and then extended the lead to 42-27 by halftime.  The big jolt came in the third quarter when the Watchdogs outscored Parker 18-7 for a 60-34 lead.

Nine different players scored for Beresford and 10 players had at least one rebound in the game.  Tate VanOtterloo had 20 points, eight steals, five assists, and three rebounds.  Jake Goblirsch finisehd with 16 points and nine rebounds.  Andrew Atwood added 15 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Mason Heiberger had four points and eight rebounds.

Beresford shot 51% (31-61) from the field, 28% (7-25) from three-point area, and 36% (5-14) from the free-throw line.  Parker was 41% (16-39) shooting, 21% (3-14) from three-point area, and 55% (16-29) from the free-throw line.  Beresford out-rebounded Parker 33-21 and force 25 turnovers.
