The Baltic 16Us had the lead for most for most of the game, but Madison Maroon rallied in the final two innings for a 15-5 win on Friday, July 14th.
Baltic took the lead in the bottom of the second with an RBI single by Riiker Rogers. The lead grew to 2-0 when Braxton Allen scored on an error. Jackson Goehring and Riley Schultz both had RBI hits in the bottom of the fifth inning to give Baltic a 4-0 lead. Madison, however, took advantage five walks, two hit batters, and three errors to score nine times in the top of the sixth. Isaac Oakley had an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth to make the score 9-5, but Madison scored six more times in the top of the seventh.
Rogers and R. Schultz both had two hits and an RBI each. Goehring had a double and an RBI. Oakley also finished with a hit and an RBI. Landon Peterson and Garrett Wilkison both had one hit. R. Schultz pitched five innings and allowed two hits and a walk with 10 strikeouts. Oakley pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed six runs, four earned, on one hit and four walks with one strikeout. Aiden Peters pitched 2/3 of an inning and allowed nine runs, two earned, on one hit and five walks.
