Baltic 16U Rallies Late for Third Straight Win

After a four-game losing streak, the Baltic 16U team has won their third straight game after an 8-5 win over Elkton on Wednesday, July 12th.

Baltic had to rally late in this game for the win.  Elkton took an early 3-0 lead with three runs in the bottom of the first inning.  Baltic got one run in the top of the fourth and then took the lead, 4-3, after a three-run fifth inning.  Elkton tied the game with a run in the bottom of the fifth.  Baltic then won the next two innings.  They scored two runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh while holding Elkton to just one run in those innings.

Beau Breece had two hits, including a double, with an RBI.  Riker Rogers also had two hits.  Isaac Oakley finished with a single and an RBI.  Landon Peterson added a hit, and Ryder Siemoonsma and Dylan Runestad each had an RBI.  Braxton Allen pitched six innings and allowed five runs, two earned, on two hits and two walks with 15 strikeouts.  Breece pitched one inning and allowed a hit with one strikeout.
