The Alcester-Hudson Cubs volleyball team finished 3-0 at the 4th Annual Irene-Wakonda “I Have a Dream” volleyball tournament on Saturday, August 26th.
The Cubs started the tournament with a win over Scotland by scores of 25-20 and 25-23. Elly Doering finished with five kills and two digs. Alexis Gray had three kills, three ace serves, and four digs. Hannah Ahart added 10 set assists, eight digs, and an ace. Jenna Manning had seven digs.
In their second match, Alcester-Hudson defeated Viborg-Hurley 25-18 and 25-18. Emma Moller had four kills. Ahart had three kills, nine set assists, and eight digs. Gray also had three kills with four digs. Devin Honglso had three ace serves and two kills. Doering added four digs.
The Cubs then played the Ethan Rustlers in their third match of the day. Alcester-Hudson won the first set in extra points, 31-29. Ethan took the second set 19-25, but the Cubs won the third set 25-9 for the match win. Carly Patrick finished with seven kills, three set assists, and seven digs. Moller had six kills. Doering had five kills and three digs. Gray also have five kills along with two ace serves and 11 digs. Ahart added four kills, 23 set assists, and 10 digs. Manning finished with 25 digs. Hongslo had three kills and three digs.
