The Alcester-Hudson Cubs girls basketball team traveled to White to play the Deubrook Dolphins on Thursday, December 29th. The Dolphins took an early lead in the first quarter for a 44-36 victory.
Deubrook grabbed a 15-5 first quarter lead and held a lead at each of the quarter breaks. The Dolphins led 30-14 at halftime. The Cubs held Deubrook to just five points in third quarter and cut the lead down to seven, 35-28 before heading into the fourth quarter. Deubrook outscored Alcester-Hudson 9-8 in the final quarter to get the win.
Elly Doering finished with 13 points. Kayleigh Thompson also had double figures with 10 points. Ella Serck addedd four points. Alexis Gray had three points, and Sarah Ebert, Emily Winquist, and Jenna Manning all had two points each.
