Quarrier Boys 4th, Girls 5th at Lenwood Invite Track Meet

The Dell Rapids Quarrier track team traveled to Lennox for the Lenwood Invitational on Tuesday, May 4th.  The boys team finished fourth with 77 points.  Tri-Valley placed first with 174 points.  The girls team was fifth with a total of 74 points.  Dakota Valley was first with 161 teams.

The Quarriers girls team had two second-place finishes and four third-place finishes on the day.  The 4x800m relay team (Samantha Price, Adisen Stadem, Elizabeth Price, Peyton VanZee) was second.  The sprint medley relay team (Kylie Fiddelke, Danica Heibult, Merritt Kvigne, E. Price) was also second.  Danica Heibult was third in the 100m dash.  Olivia Prasek finished third in the triple jump.  The 4x100m relay team (Hanna VanOverbeke, Heibult, Madysen VanOverbeke, Fiddelke) and the 4x200m relay team (S. Price, M. VanOverbeke, Kvigne, Kylie Lebahn) both had second place finishes.

The boys team had three event champions at the meet.  Logan Anderson was first in the 800m run with a time of 2:06.09.  The sprint medley relay team (Ryler Evans, Ian Mason, Kaeden Eastman, John Mortrude) was first with a time of 4:05.64.  Danek Hilmar won the high jump was first with a jump of 5’9″.  Anderson had a second place finish in the 1600m run.  Gunnar Chamley was second in the discus.  The 4x100m relay team (Coby Maeschen, Jade Anstine, Evans, Hilmar) and the 4x200m relay team (Evans, Anstine, Mason, Hilmar) both placed second.

Dell Rapids will host the Dell Rapids Invite on Monday, May 10th.
