The De Smet Bulldogs continued their dominance in Class B girls basketball with a 71-21 win over the Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinals on Friday, January 4th. The Bulldogs led 41-14 at halftime and held the Cardinals to just seven points in the second half.
Ella Heinitz led St Mary in scoring with eight points. Ella Griffin finished with five points and seven rebounds. Maddie Schwebach added four points, and Clare Klein and Tana Harrington both had two points each. Karlie Klein had five rebounds. De Smet was led by Kennadi Buchholz with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
The Cardinals (3-5) look to get back into the win column on Thursday, January 10th. St Mary will travel to White to play the Deubrook Area Dolphins. Big Sioux Media will have a link to the Deubrook Area webstream of the game.
