The Dell Rapids Quarrier wrestling team placed three wrestlers at the Region 1A meet in Madison on Saturday, February 20th. Dell Rapids finished with 35.0 team points. Sioux Falls Roosevelt placed first as a team with 217.0 points. Brookings was second with 135.0 points, and Watertown was third with 135.0 points.
James Lueders (145), Lathon Gorospe (220), and Nick Schmidt (285) all placed in the top four at the region meet and qualified for the 2016 South Dakota State A Wrestling Tournament held Friday and Saturday, February 26th and 27th, at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City.
