With the game tied at 32-32 with 7:49 to go in the third quarter, the Oldham-Ramona/Rutland Raiders went on a 26-11 run the remainder of third quarter on their way to a 73-51 win over the Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinals on Monday, February 15th, at Dell Rapids St Mary High School.
The Raiders held the lead throughout the game, but the Cardinals were able to tie the game three different times. Oldham-Ramona/Rutland led 17-13 after the first quarter. St Mary was able to tie the game at 20-20 early in the second quarter, and then again at 30-30, but the Raiders hit a last-second shot before halftime for a 32-30 lead.
After the 26-11 run in third quarter by the Raiders, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland led 58-43 at the end of the third quarter. They out scored the Cardinals 15-8 in the final quarter for the win.
The Cardinals finished the game shooting 35% (20-57) from the field, 40% (6-15) from three-point area, and 56% (5-9) from the free-throw line. St Mary had 28 teams rebounds and 11 team assists.
Noah Fiegen finished with a double-double in the game, 15 points and 12 rebounds. Garret Frost had 12 points, and Luke Brown had 11 points.
St Mary (1-17) will travel to Baltic on Friday, February 19th, for their next game.
