Arlington Wins Battle of Cardinal Against St Mary Boys

DRSM LogoThe Arlington Cardinals defeated the Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinals 50-30 in Arlington on Thursday, January 28th.  St Mary was only able to score nine points through the first three quarters before the offense was able to score 21 in the final quarter.  Arlington led 12-3 after the first quarter, 24-5 at halftime, and 40-9 at the end of the third quarter.

St Mary finished the game at 43.8% (14-32) from the field, 22.2% (2-9) from the three-point area, and 0-2 from the free-throw line.  St Mary also had a total of 26 rebounds and turned the ball over 22 times.  Arlington finished the game shooting 31.7% (19-60) from the field, 27.3% (3-11) from the three-point area, and 75% (9-12) from the free-throw line.

Connor Libis had had a team-high 11 points in the game.  Luke Brown finished with nine points, and Zach Geraets and Noah Fiegen both had four points each.  Fiegen also had nine rebounds.  Libis finished with five assists and three steals.

St Mary (1-13) travels to Elkton to play the Elkton/Lake Benton Elks on Thursday, February 4th.
