Robert William “Bob” Apland

Bob AplandRobert William “Bob” Apland, 63, died peacefully in his beloved St. Ignatius, MT home on Thursday, February 26th, 2015, after a courageous battle against cancer. Born on April 17th, 1951 to Ralph and Joyce (Blando) Apland in Spearfish, SD. He was one of six children.

After high school Bobby set out on his own and spent years driving truck over the road, but soon found his forever home in Montana.  Here, he met the love of his life and best friend, Mary Jo Dunham.

He is survived by his life-partner, Mary Jo Dunham; son, Zachary (Heather) Apland; his daughters, Shanna Von Holtum, Kelci Apland, and Katie Dunham; sisters Toni (Ken) Henderson, and Karen (Michael) Case, and Carol Ann (Joe) Duvall; brothers Steve (Fran) and John (Gail) Apland; and six beautiful grandchildren – Cody, Dawson, Shelby, Mackenzie, Landon, and Lauden, as well as many other beloved family members and friends.

Bob is preceded in death by his eldest son, Christopher Apland; and his parents, Ralph and Dorothy.
