Patricia “Pat” Langner, 88, of Dell Rapids passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2018 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Lutheran Church of Dell Rapids Chapel. Burial will be in Dell Rapids Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM followed by a Prayer service at 7:00 PM Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Minnehaha Funeral Home in Dell Rapids.
Patricia Ann Fisher, daughter of Daniel and Elva (Gonyon) Fisher, was born December 20, 1929 at Clark, SD. After graduating from Castlewood High School, she worked as a telephone switchboard operator at Northwestern Bell Telephone Co in Aberdeen, SD.
Pat met William (Bill) Langner while they were working in Aberdeen and were married there on April 1, 1950. Pat and Bill lived in Rapid City, Aberdeen and Omaha finally settling down on the farm near Dell Rapids. She cared for their four children and helped with the farm and sheep operation. Pat enjoyed crafting, sewing, gardening and attending farm auctions with Bill. Pat was a member of the Dell Rapids Garden Club and Dell Rapids Lutheran Church and served on altar guild and kitchen committees.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Micheal Langner and his wife, Stephanie, Waterloo, IA; Annette and her husband, Roger Weinacht, Dell Rapids, SD; Sandra and her husband, Jeff Anderson, Flandreau, SD and Keith Langner and his wife, Michelle, Omaha, NE; thirteen grandchildren, Andrea (Weinacht) Ruud, Michelle Langner Richmond, Carrie (Weinacht) Patterson, Aaron Langner, Adam Langner, Tennille (Langner) Knoop, Greg Weinacht, Bethanie Langner, Jesse Anderson, Jeremy Anderson, Zachary Langner, Katherine (Langner) Cox and Kris Langner; 31 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Wanda Carson, Waconia, MN; sister-in-law, Beverly Langner, Madison, SD and many other relatives and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings.
