Dell Rapids senior Mason Schmidt is the latest Quarriers to sign a letter of intent.  Schmidt signed his letter for the South Dakota State University Jackrabbit track and field team on Tuesday, November 14th.

Schmidt is a four-time state qualifier in track as well as a three-time All-State high jumper.  Schmidt finished eighth at state in 2013 as an eighth grader.    He was the State A high jump runner-up in 2016 and the State A high jump in 2017.  Schmidt was also part of the 1600m relay runner-up team in 2017.  Along with his state track meet accomplishments, Schmidt won the Howard Wood Dakota Relays high jump title in 2017 and was a High Jump State Gold Medal winner in 2017.

Schmidt was also a member of the Quarrier boys golf team and football team this past fall and will be a part of the Quarrier boys basketball team this winter.
