Vivian F. Wiseman was born January 9, 1921, at Woonsocket, SD, to Austin and Ellen (Fors) Wiseman. She attended Eastern High School in Madison and was confirmed at Castleton, ND where she graduated from Castleton High School. Vivian married Leo Jones on December 31, 1938, at Madison and attended Nettleton College in Sioux Falls. They lived in Madison and later moved to Seattle, WA where she owned and operated a restaurant in Burien, WA. They returned to Madison and she was a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Leo Jones Trucking.
Vivian was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and WELCA, Madison, VFW Auxiliary, Sons of Norway, and Red Hat Society. She loved to sew and did alterations for many years.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leo in 1994; three brothers, Everett, Dean and Dale Wiseman.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy (Jerome) Lammers of Madison and Gloria (Allen) Brown of Dell Rapids; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Donna Smith of Glenwood, IA; three brothers, Arlen Wiseman of Renton, WA, Calvin (Joyce) Wiseman of Seattle, WA, and Maynard Wiseman of Madison.
