The Dell Rapids Quarrier girls and boys cross country teams opened up their season at the Beresford Cross Country Invite at the Bridges Golf Course on Friday, August 26th.

The Quarriers will be at the McCook Invite on Tuesday, August 30th.

Four Dell Rapids Quarrier cross country runners qualified themselves for the 2015 State A Cross Country Meet by finishing in the top 20 at the Region 2A meet held in Madison on Thursday, October 15th.

Shaylee Hoff finished 17th with a time of 21:14.27.  Aspen Hansen finished 19th with a time of 21:14.27.  Caleb Kirschenmann finished 15th for the boys with a time of 17:52.90, and Carter Wynja finished 19th with a time of 18:08.21.

Other participants in the Region 2A meet for the girls team were Kathryn Fletcher (22:41.13), Katie Jaycox (23:08.44), Olivia Downs (23:40.11), and Shaina Visser (23:51.94).

Other runners for the boys team were Brett Mogen (19:00.40), Ted DeLange (19:26.13), James Lueders (20:26.01), and Dominic Holmes (20:45.33).

The 2015 State A Cross Country Meet will be held at Yankton Trails Park in Sioux Falls on Saturday, October 24th.

The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys and girls cross country teams participated in the Dak-12 Conference Cross Country Meet held at The Bridges in Beresford on Thursday, October 8th.

The girls team finished fifth with a total of 96 points.  Beresford won the title with 27 points.  Sioux Falls Christian was second with 55.  Madison placed third with 63 points, and Lennox was fourth with 89 points.

The varsity boys team finished seventh with 126 points.  West Central won the team title with 14 points.  Sioux Falls Christian placed second with 30 points.  Madison was third with 80 points, and Lennox was fourth with 82 points.

The girls JV team placed seventh as a team with 114 points.  Beresford won the girls JV event with 15 points.  The boys JV team placed tenth with 157 points.  West Central won the boys JV event with 10 points.

The Dell Rapids Quarrier cross country team participated in the Lennox Invite on Friday, October 2nd, in Lennox.  The Quarrier boys finished sixth with a total team score of 108.  West Central won the boys event with a team score of 20.  Sioux Falls Christian was second with 31, and Lennox placed third with 70 points.

The Quarrier girls varsity team finished eighth with a team score of 121.  Beresford won the girls event with a team score of 31.  Garretson was second with 50, and Sioux Falls Christian was third with a total of 64 points.

The Dell Rapids Quarrier cross country teams traveled to Hartford on Monday, September 27th, for the West Central Invite.  The varsity girls placed seventh as a team.  Aspen Hansen finished 23rd, Kathryn Fletcher placed 30th, Shaylee Hoff was 35th, and Averi Pankonen placed 38th.  The varsity boys placed eighth as a team.  Carter Wynja placed 37th, Brett Mogen was 42nd, Ted DeLange finished 56th, Caleb Kirschenmann was 64th, James Lueders finished 78th, and Dominic Holmes placed 79th.

Kaite Jaycox placed ninth for the JV girls team.  Olivia Downs was 18th, Becky Dorn placed 31st, Amanda Tomes was 38th, and Olivia Stelzer placed 48th.  Sammie Schmidt, Emily Dorn, Ella Lueders, and Anna Symens also ran for the JV girls team.  Derek Ahlers finished 24th for the JV boys team.  Gabe Skonseng was 35th, Mitchell Heinemann was 39th, and Logan Millman placed 40th.  Ryan Keener, Evan Schmidt Micah Gleason, and Logan Visser also ran for the JV boys team.

The Quarriers will travel to Lennox on Friday, October 2nd, for the Lennox Invite.

The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys and girls cross country teams participated in the SF Charger Invite at Yankton Trails Park in Sioux Falls on Thursday, September 17th.  The Quarrier girls finished fifth as a team with 88 points.  Beresford won the event with 20 points.  Sioux Falls Christian was second with 37 points, Canton placed third with 61, and Madison finished fourth with 64.

The Quarrier boys placed finished seventh as a team with 133.  West Central won the boys title with 25 points.  Sioux Falls Christian was second with 29, Madison third with 69, Beresford fourth with 79, and Western Christian was fifth with 88 points.

The varsity girls team placed third as a team.  Shaylee Hoff finished 12th, Shaina Visser 18th, Aspen Hansen 21st, Avery Pankonen 22nd, and Kaylee Henned 26th.  The JV girls team also placed third.  Katie Jaycox placed 8th, Amanda Tomes 15th, Raigan Schmidt 19th, Emily Dorn 22nd, Ella Lueders 25th, and Sydney Eichinger 26th.  The 7th/8th grade girls team placed second.  Kathryn Fletcher placed 3rd, Olivia Downs 7th, Rebecca Dorn 11th, Olivia Stelzer 13th, Ceara Schellum 13th, and Abby Stauffenecker 24th.
