Bernus (Wold) Lee, 82, of Dell Rapids passed away Monday, February 26, 2018. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 3, 2018 at East Nidaros Lutheran Church, rural Baltic, SD. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Bernus was born in Adrian, MN to Minnie (Madison) and Henry Norman. She grew up and attended school in the Adrian/Luverne area.
She moved to the rural Baltic and married Oscar Wold on May 27th 1955. She was a member of East Nidaros Luthern Church, was active in Ladies Aid, Circle and taught Sunday School.
Bernus was best known for her home cooking and baking. She served many lunches and dinners on the farm to harvesting crews and made and sold wedding cakes from their home. She also enjoyed swimming with her children, camping and fishing. Many of her knitted and crochet works are proudly displayed through out the family.
After Oscar passed away in 1989, she sold the farm and moved to Sioux Falls, SD.
She married Warren Lee, September 21, 1996, they traveled for several years, and settled in rural Arlington, SD. In October 2017 she moved to Dell Rapids, SD., where she passed away.
Survivors include her husband, Warren Lee; children, James (Dawne) Wold, Mitchell, SD, Sharon Brooks, Pipestone, MN, Larry Wold, Minneapolis, MN and Linda Brekke, Sioux Falls, SD; brother, Vernon Norman, Bloomington, MN; numerous nieces and nephews; 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She is preceeded in death by her parents; husband, Oscar; daughter, Ellen(David) Brobjorg; son, Lyle Wold; brothers, Hank and Bill and sister, Opal.
