Audrey Brude, 82, of Sioux Falls, died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD.

Audrey E. Lathrop was born April 25, 1930 at Dell Rapids, SD. As a child, she lived in Dell Rapids, California, and Colorado, before returning to Dell Rapids. She worked at the Rock Garden Café in Dell Rapids. While working there, she met Percy J.B. Brude. The two were united in marriage on August 16, 1949 at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa. The couple moved to Sioux Falls where they raised their family.

Throughout her adult life, Audrey worked for Dale Olson Oil Co., Montgomery Ward, Mode-O-Day, Litton Industries, Sioux Empire Federal Credit Union, the Radisson Hotel, and J.C. Penney Co. In 1996, she moved to Ward Assisted Living where she was living until moving to Dougherty Hospice House just prior to her death.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Arlynn (Michael) Beck of Sioux Falls, SD, Donnas (David) Fogelson-Doud of Harrisburg, SD, Toni (Doug) Oldre and Joan (Tony) Turgeon, both of Sioux Falls, SD; 8 grandchildren, Sonya (Nathan) Reed, Wyatt Beck, Travis (BJ) Beck, Jerrod (Shana) Beck, Brock (Stephanie) Oldre, Lacey (Kevin) Olinger, Michael (Katie) Turgeon, and Breanna (Seth) Bents; 2 step-grandchildren, Jason (Holly) Doud and Pam (Scott) Javers; 15 great grandchildren; 8 step great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; her brother, Vernon (Shirley) Lathrop; and many nieces and nephews. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Percy on January 18, 1983; and two sisters, Alverna Auch and Viva Szurek.

Funeral services will begin 10:30 am Monday at Miller Funeral Home. Interment will be in East Nidaros Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 3:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, Main Avenue location.  www.millerfh.com
