Arthur Hagg

Arthur G. Hagg age 94 of Madison, died Wednesday evening February 11, 2015 at the Bethel Lutheran Home.

Funeral Services will begin at 100pm. Saturday February 14, 2015. The Rev. Rick Senner, will officiate at Trinity Lutheran Church Madison. Burial with Military Honors will be at the Graceland Cemetery Madison. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm Friday with family present to greet friends at 6:00 pm. at the Randall Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 12:00 pm Saturday at the church. Condolences may be left at: www.randallfuneral.com

Arthur Grant Hagg, was born April 12, 1920 at Algona, IA. the son of Grant and Edna (Bankson) Hagg. He grew up in Dell Rapids, SD. where he attended school. He served in the Army during WW II. serving in the European Theater of operations. In 1951 he moved to Madison, SD. Arthur married Lillian Kopperud, on March 20, 1951 at Lake Preston, SD.

He worked as a Custodian and Bus Driver at the Franklin School. In 1975 he went to work for M-Tron Industries in Madison and later became the custodian at the Karl Mundt Library at Dakota State University. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church Madison and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Lillian, and daughter Jean Hagg, both of Madison, a daughter and son-in-law: Nancy (Doug) Peterson, Wentworth, a sister: Vivian Sneve, Worley. ID. and a sister-in-law: Elleen Hagg, Madison, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Charley Hagg and two sisters: Marie Nicholson, and Norma Jensen.
