The Tri-Valley Mustangs had six wrestlers qualify for the state tournament with top four finishes at the Region 2B Tournament in Freeman on Saturday, February 19th. The team also finished fourth with 115.5 points.
Brody Dybvig (126-pound) and Mason Hendrixson (170-pound) both had second place finishes. Cole Hendrixson (106-pound), Treyson Ricther (113-pound), and Isaac Nehlich (220-pound) all had third place finishes. Lawson Loiseau (138-pound) finished fourth. These six wrestlers will move on to the state tournament.
Landy Reiser (145-pound) and Luke Nehlich (195-pound) finished fifth at regions. Everet Althoff (160-pound) had a record of 1-2 on the day. Cody Lofswold (120-pound), Zach Powell (152-pound), and Jose Mendoza (182-pound) were 0-2 on the day.
The 2022 South Dakota High School Class B State Wrestling Tournament will be held at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls on Thursday, February 24th through Saturday, February 26th.
