The Dell Rapids Quarrier volleyball team won their first home match of the year over the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies on Tuesday, August 30th, by scores of 17-25, 25-16, 20-25, 25-19, 15-10.
Brook Klein had nine points and 26 digs in the match for Dell Rapids. Jayda Knuppe had 10 kills and three blocks. Chloe Solberg had 10 points and 34 assists. Sydney Stofferahn added eight kills, Trinity Gordon had seven kills and 23 digs, and Emma Paul had seven kills.
Dell Rapids improves to 3-3 on the year. The Quarriers will host Tea Area on Thursday, September 8th.
JV and C Team Results:
The JV dropped their match by set scores of 18-25 and 14-25. Maria Jackson, Gabi Rus, and Regan Stone played well in the losing cause. The C team lost by the set scores of 27-25, 14-25, and 15-17. Kyra Graham, Dezi Rus and Jessica Schoeberl paced the offense. Britton Gordon, Ava Schuring, and Kyra Graham anchored the defense.
