The Dell Rapids Quarrier volleyball team started the 2018 season with a win on Thursday, August 23rd. The Quarriers traveled to Hartford and defeated the West Central Trojans by scores of 25-20, 25-23, 15-25, and 25-20.
Jayda Knuppe had 14 kills on the night to go along with nine digs and a block. Hannah Fletcher finished with 28 set assists, 15 digs, and six kills. Maria Jackson added seven kills. Kyra Graham had four kills and three blocks. Brooke Klein, Mackenzie Grisham, and Sam Price all shined defensively. Klein had 23 digs, Grisham had 22 digs, and Price tallied 18 digs.
Dell Rapids (1-0) will travel to Canton on Saturday, August 25th for the Canton tournament. The Quarriers will play their first home match on Tuesday, August 28th.
