The Dell Rapids Quarrier volleyball team lost a close match to open their season against the West Central Trojans on Thursday, August 24th, in Dell Rapids. The Trojans beat the Quarriers by scores of 25-19, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23.
Brooke Klein led the team with 14 service points, including four aces, and 21 digs. Jayda Knuppe had nine kills and a block. Sydney Stofferahn added seven kills. Mackenzie Grisham had 24 digs defensively for the Quarriers, and Hannah Fletcher had 26 set assists in the match. The Trojans were led by Erin Kueter with nine kills, Kali Nelson and Ashlyn McDonald with seven kills each, and Alyssa Ideker with 12 digs.
Dell Rapids will be heading to Canton for the Canton Tournament on Saturday, August 26th.
