The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys golf team has a five-stroke lead after the first date of the Class A State Tournament in Hartford. Dell Rapids currently has a team score of 323. Aberdeen Roncalli and Madison are tied for second with 328. Parkston is in fourth at 331, with Dakota Valley in fifth place at 340.
Adam Karst fired a +1 round of 73 on the day, which puts him in second place just one stroke behind the leader Michael Duch of Aberdeen Roncalli for the individual title. Zach Schroeder is currently tied for sixth with a first-day round of 80. Ty Hoglund finished the day with an 84, Deven Weber shot an 86, and Mason Schmidt had a 98.
The Quarriers will finish the tw0-day State Tournament in Hartford on Tuesday, October 8th.
