The Dell Rapids Quarrier golf team finished third at the Madison Invitational on Tuesday, September 1st. Madison won the 10-team tournament, and Parkston finished second. Ty Hoglund finished second individually with a round of 77. Josh Parrot finished 16th with a round of 90, and Jordan Kerns placed 21st with a 91. Madison Schmidt fired a 94, Brent Eddy finished with a 96, and Jace Blair shot a 109.
The Quarriers then played in the West Central Invitational on Friday, September 4th. This date was the make-up date from the rainout on August 18th. Dell Rapids finished 1st in the seven-team tournament, which was their third win as a team this year. Ty Hoglund finished first with a round of 74. Josh Parrot placed ninth with a round of 85, and Mason Schmidt finished 11th with a round of 86. Jordan Kern ended the tournament with a round of 91, Brent Eddy had a 95, and Sheldon Siemonsma finished with a 114.
