The Dell Rapids Quarrier girls golf team placed second at a team at the Garretson Early Bird golf tournament on Tuesday, April 11th, in Garreston. The Quarriers had a team total of 158. Flandreau won the girls title with a total of 153. Garreston was third with 165, Sioux Valley fourth with 179, and Chester fifth with 195. The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal boys golf team placed third as a team with a 158. Garretson won the boys title with a 129. Chester was second with 138, and Flandreau tied St Mary for third with 158.
Kaitlyn Greenhoff (DR) won the girls individual title with a round of 48, and Rose Habager placed fourth with a round of 51. Grace Johanson from Flandreau was second with a 49, and Destiny Nelson of Flandreau was third with a 50. Grace Tischer, Mallory Haak, and Sydney Emery all had rounds of 59 for the Quarriers. Olivia Downs shot a 63, and Stephanie Dennis had a round of 67.
Jacob Saude had the low round for the St Mary Cardinal boys golf team with a a 48 which was good for seventh place. Brandon Cook finished with a 54. Brandon Kubly had a 56, Payton Park had a 58, Luke Reecy shot a 59, Tyler Munkvold had a 60, and Jason Cook finished with a round of 86.
The Quarrier girls will host a triangular with West Central and Pipestone at Rocky Run Golf Course on Tuesday, April 18th. The Cardinal boys will be at the Chester Invite on Tuesday, April 18th.
