The Tri-Valley Mustang track team and a great performance at the Lenwood Invitational in Lennox on Tuesday, May 4th. The boys team won the team title with a total of 174 points. The girls team finished fourth with a total of 83.5 points.
Brie Peters had a second place finish in the 800m run. Ellie Pearson was second in the shot put. Jessica Masgai had a second place finish in the triple jump. The 4x100m relay team of Madelyn Wenzel, Masgai, Lauren Grinde, and Paige Jewett also had a second place finish. Pearson also had a third place finish in the discus.
The boys team had five first place finishers on the day. Nate Hargreaves placed first in the 400m dash with a time of :52.87. Alex Andresen was first in the shot put with a throw of 46’10.5″. Dustin Sees was first in the long jump with a leap of 19’11.5″. The 4x100m relay team of Niyongabo Yohana, Levi Hanson, Sees, and Jaden Siemonsma was first with a time of :44.50. The 4x200m relay of Cheston Fowlds, Riley Haynes, Preston Wieman, and Keane Papstein was first with a time of 1:37.09. Hargreaves also had a second place finish in the 3200m run. Siemonsma was second in the 100m dash, Sees was second in the 400m dash, and Connor Christensen was second in the shot put. The 4x400m relay team (Carter Sorenson, Isaac McFarland, Michael Beyer, Andresen) was also second.
