Despite a change in location for the girls Region 1A golf tournament on Thursday, May 23rd, the Dell Rapids Quarrier girl golfers adjusted well and qualified four for the State A tournament. The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in Milbank, but had to be moved to Sisseton due to course conditions.
Dell Rapids placed fourth as a team with a score of 460. Madison won the tournament with a score of 414, followed by Sisseton with a 420 and Milbank with 449.
Mallory Haak, Olivia Downs, Abigail Greenhoff, and Sami Schmidt all qualified by finishing in the top 25 of the regions. Haak finished 12th with a round of 108. Downs had a 17th place finish with a round of 114. Greenhoff placed 20th with a 118, and Schmidt was 22nd with a round of 120.
The girls State A Tournament will be held in Aberdeen at Lee Park on Monday, June 3rd and Tuesday, June 4th.
